We only began breeding our Meerkats in 2010. Working with other zoo’s we matched our male with a female from Chester Zoo. Happily they are now breeding and will continue to do so for some time. Our own Meerkat Manor has seen three sets of babies in just under a year!
Popularised on TV as a documentary, and more latterly as the compare the Meerkat advertising campaign, lots of people have requested we create adoption packs for them. Money raised from our adoption packs helps us preserve and breed some of our rarer, more endangered species, so we are always grateful for support.
