Tapirs are notoriously difficult to breed in captivity. They are shy creatures. Here at Trotters World of Animals we are improving the enclosure so our Tapirs Rio and Muffin can have a little more privacy. We are hoping that in the future, our pair will produce a baby. You can help us protect and conserve this species by adopting a tapir.
