Zoos worldwide are working together on saving endangered species through captive breeding programs and studbooks. These program are called European Endangered species Programs (EEP) and are the highest level of captive breeding program in the world. We are participating in 6 EEP programs and offspring from these animals will be a valuable part of the species future survival. Click here to view Trotters EEP animals.

BIAZA is the British and Irish Association of Zoos and Aquariums and represents only the best of these in Britain and Ireland. Collections which are members of BIAZA can pride themselves on excellent animal welfare, education and conservation work.

The IUCN Red List is a inventory list of the global conservation status of all species of plants and animals. It is the most authoritative guide to the status of biological biodiversity. It categorizes all species dependent on how threatened they are, into 9 different categories.
