The keepers at Trotters World of Animals have been busy during the late winter and early spring planting some 5000 hedging plants on the estate. Helping them with this mammoth task has been volunteers from the Explorer Scouts and West House, both of whom completed around 250m of hedgerow each. We’d like to say a huge thanks to them for their hard work.
This work is being done as part of many efforts around the Estate for it’s Entry Level Stewardship Scheme, working towards the Higher Level. This government scheme is intended to improve the natural beauty and diversity of our countryside, something which is very close to our hearts here at Trotters.
